BCEDC taking applications for Demolition and Commercial Building Renovation Grant

Burt County was awarded $150,000 from the Donald E. Nielsen Foundation to assist in the renovation of commercial structures within Burt County; also in the demolition in both residential and commercial structures in any of the five communities.  Residential demolition applications can apply for up to 1/2 of the total cost; commercial demolition applications can apply for 1/2 of total cost, with a maximum of $15.000.  Commercial renovation grants can cover no more than 1/2 of total costs, with a maximum of $15,000.

The grants are to be used to improve the structural integrity, reduce blight and preserve the business districts of our small towns.  More details are available in the  application and guidelines, which can be downloaded from the website under Funding.
